| envelope Architecture+Design is a structure for working: an open, flexible container in which creativity and experimentation occur; a collaborative design group inclusive of outside disciplines and individuals. We acknowledge from the outset that the process of making architecture is a shared endeavor which involves multiple minds and hands at every stage of the process. Our respect for the collective process is reinforced by our appreciation and respect for the makers of our work, which is manifest through the traces of the hand and the machine in the realized work. Our vision is both subtle and ambitious: re-conceptualization of modes of living and building that is focused on the fundamentals of human perception. Our work emphasizes the interrelationships of space and enclosure, time and experience. |
