| ARCHITECTURE BUILDING CULTURE (ABC) is a design focused architectural firm offering a full range of services with offices in Portland, Oregon and West Vancouver, British Columbia. ABC’s expertise encompasses a wide array of building types including cultural, civic, commercial, educational, and multi and single-family housing.
The work of the firm is based foremost on the belief that within the context of every architectural problem there is great potential and compelling opportunities. Through a rigorous process of research, innovation & design, and collaboration these potentials and opportunities can be revealed, and then manifested, both urbanistically and architecturally. It is for this reason we approach each project not with preconceptions about what the solution will be, but rather, we seek to explore and discover what it can be.
Inherent to this belief is a fundamental commitment to collaboration as an important and essential aspect of our design process. Different points of view and expertise will enrich the project’s meaning and overall performance; broaden the intellectual knowledge base available to the project team; and ensure that there is a streamlined development and distribution of that knowledge throughout the entire process. To facilitate this approach, the firm has forged alliances with engineering specialists, designers, the construction industry, and real estate development consultants throughout North America and abroad in order to bring coordinated expertise to our planning and design work wherever it may be.
ABC has the resources and technology (including Building Information Modeling) necessary to execute a project from pre-design (facility programming, master planning, etc.) through design, construction completion, and post occupancy evaluation. |

| ABC believes it is a critical for the design profession to lead by example and find ways to contribute their services and expertise to organizations in need. To this end ABC endeavors to commit a percentage of their time each year to pro bono work. |
