Centerpoint Builders' principal, David Gunderson, managed the design and construction of the United Way Headquarters while employed by the firm's predecessor. The 53,000 sf building was designed to be compatible with the West End Historic District; a collection of 1915-1930 era red-brick warehouses. The building is composed of 13,000 sf of future ground floor retail, five elevated parking garage levels, topped by two levels of office space totalling 40,000 sf for the organization.
