The Blair House is a circa 1840 house located near a wetland and in the center of a historic core. This structure is currently owned by a quasi-governmental source who wishes to provide a ground lease for the structure for the NHO to renovate into an affordable housing unit. The NHO has received some estimates - but are unsure about the path to take with the renovation of this building. Making it into a duplex would require complex code changes.

The Land Bank owns the building, but does not want to expend money on the project. The Town of Nantucket has expressed some interest in the building, but has not offered direct help.

There may be funds available from the Town of Nantucket or the Nantucket Land Bank (the owner), but they would be minimal.
