The JBI Library / JBI International - a non-profit institution providing the blind and visually impaired with books in audio, large print, and Braille - houses recording studios, post production, conference rooms, offices, and an archive for digital and master reel recordings. Our work included a complete renovation of the existing seven-story building, a two-story addition and a new façade with an emphasis on transparency, accessibility and sustainability. Funded by private donations and the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the JBI Library establishes a quiet institutional presence in the midst of midtown Manhattan.
