Description:

As part of the Hattiesburg University Foundation's revitilization efforts in underserved, impoverished Ward Two in downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi, our 501(c)(3) public charity is making social investments via turning a blighted, 9-acre brownfield, declining community into a vibrant, environmental green, economic and educational social center creating jobs and opportunities for Mississippi residents. The three phases will consist of Le Plaza of Hattiesburg (retail shops, movie theater, and restaurants), Hattiesburg Arena (an entertainment and sports arena), and the Villas of Hattiesburg ( a low income, affordable housing complex) bringing together our non-profit in concert with public and private partnerships to eradicate poverty. All revenues generated will support, strengthen, and build the operations capacity of our non-profit public charity for the public good juxtaposed serving humanity through human philanthrophy through community-building.
