Description:

AcV2, in collaboration with R. Fred Thurston Architecture, as asked by The Nature Conservancy to design an adaptive reuse of the building that previously housed the Brainerd Indian Training School. The building, located inside the Whitney Preserve grounds, will be converted into an extended-stay learning facility.

The work consists of reroofing and refacing the abandoned masonry block structure into a more inviting environment with local materials and utilizing sustainable design concepts for energy conservation.
